    Attorney Chris Walker's presentation will provide an overview of the Wrongful Discharge Act, highlighting its key provisions, common misconceptions, and practical implications.     Chris Walker is a senior associate attorney at Silverman Law Office, where he focuses on business and contract matters, real estate transactions, estate planning, and probate. He is passionate about problem-solving with clients, helping them grow and defend their businesses and livelihoods. Chris is also an experienced litigator, representing clients as plaintiffs, defendants, or intervenors in a variety of cases. He thrives on tackling challenging and unexpected problems, feeling most in his element when navigating complex legal issues.

    Chris grew up in Kalispell and earned his undergraduate degree with distinction from Carroll College. He went on to receive his law degree with honors from the University of Montana School of Law, where he excelled in Business Transactions and Intellectual Property Law and gained valuable experience as an extern with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Montana.

    Before joining Silverman Law Office, Chris clerked for the 17th Judicial District Court of Montana and worked as an associate at Bosch, Kuhr, Dugdale & Brown in Havre. In that role, he formed corporate entities, managed real estate sales, created and terminated guardianships and conservatorships, and successfully litigated in commercial, land, and probate disputes.

    Chris serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Helena and was recognized by the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce and the Independent Record as a 20 Under 40 Award winner in 2023 for his contributions to his community. Previously, he was president and a board member of Havre's Helping Haven, a nonprofit organization supporting those in need.

    Outside of work, Chris enjoys reading and spending time with his wife and three children.
